They are killing for fun either way. Why is the person killing a deer not a psychopath when the person killing a cat is? That's just a cultural tendency against killing a commonly domesticated animal.

The part where recreational fishing and hunting are considered to be a sign of psychotic behavior no matter how poorly you try to apply sources.

Really, I could express this in symbolic logic and it wouldn't be any simpler.

Find me one that says recreational hunting and fishing are psychotic behavior.

Here, I'll explain it:
If you're killing for entertainment, then it's cruelty.
If it's cruelty, then it's a sign of psychopathic behavior.
Hunting/fishing/whatever is a sign of psychopathic behavior if and only if the hunting/fishing/whatever is for entertainment.
Really, it's that simple.

It really depends on opinions. Some think it's cruelty, others not so much. I don't hunt, but I occasionally like fishing. Fish really aren't as sentient as deer.
I'm not a fan of hunting, but thinking anyone who hunts is a psychopath is asinine.
