No. Someone who dismembers a cat is exhibiting psychopathic behavior someone who hunts a deer is not.
They are killing for fun either way. Why is the person killing a deer not a psychopath when the person killing a cat is? That's just a cultural tendency against killing a commonly domesticated animal.

If they're hunting that deer for little more than their own amusement, then there isn't really a difference.

This.^ Shooting an animal for fun is still inflicting grievous bodily harm for amusement.

The part where recreational fishing and hunting are considered to be a sign of psychotic behavior no matter how poorly you try to apply sources.

So you're saying recreational hunting is psychotic behavior?

If it's for entertainment, that is cruelty in and of itself. Animal cruelty is a sign of psychotic behavior.

As a consistent rape apologist, individual who refuses to accept others for their gender identity because you personally don't feel like recognizing it, and supporter of killing sentient beings for fun, I'm really having to wonder why anyone takes you seriously.

Because questioning bad laws, refusing to sacrifice logic in the name of political connectivity, and recognizing the difference between recreation and psychopathic behavior are things to be applauded.

Bull. Shit.

Alright, let's try it.
I represents hunting/fishing/whatever
E represents entertainment
C represents cruelty
P represents psychopathic behavior.

E→C
C→P

Here, I'll explain it:
If you're killing for entertainment, then it's cruelty.
If it's cruelty, then it's a sign of psychopathic behavior.
Hunting/fishing/whatever is a sign of psychopathic behavior if and only if the hunting/fishing/whatever is for entertainment.

Really, it's that simple.

There's no point in hunting/fishing if you don't plan on utilising or selling the materials it provided. The First Americans held that belief for millenia.

It really depends on opinions. Some think it's cruelty, others not so much. I don't hunt, but I occasionally like fishing. Fish really aren't as sentient as deer.

I'm not a fan of hunting, but thinking anyone who hunts is a psychopath is asinine.

I'm asking your opinion. I think that harming sentient animals simply for amusement could be a sign of a psychological problem. I don't care if it's maiming or hunting, a sentient being is still dying due to zoosadism.

Nice try, though.
Also, sentience isn't a qualifier for cruelty.
