Let's say the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance stumble upon the Ancient Humans and Forerunners. This encounter will take place right after TESB and almost halfway between the Human-Forerunner war. The Empire has no Death Star, but they do have access to the Executor class SSD. The Forerunners have yet to approve the Halo Array, but their military is in overdrive. The Human fleet has taken severe casualties but can recover given just a little breathing room. The Forerunners also have the newer version of the Fortress class ship. The allied factions will be able to share information about weapons and tactics. Which universe will win this war?

Depends on which version of Forerunner you subscribe to. Halo1-3 fanon where they were akin to gods, where infantry squads could destroy entire planets. Or the latter official versions where they weren't humans.
