I'd like to get one with my customized version of the Decepticon Seal on it, but I think that one with the licensed version would have higher-quality printing and fabric.

Plus, these places all claim that they don't want to print copyrighted material (although I did get an 8x10 of Megatron from a different place, and they had no problems delivering. Unfortunately, they DID have a problem with leaving the colors alone, and turned a nicely foreboding gray sky into a sunny blue one >:( )

I wouldn't know about "even after turning them inside out," etc. because I don't have the patience for that. I can say for sure that with the shirts they made 5 years ago, the tiny red printed "tag" in the back will bleed and turn the entire shirt pink if one is washed on warm or hot, though! And yes, they shrink one size, or at least they used to.

And I agree that they do fade faster than off-the-shelf printed shirts, though I never tried babying them like you mentioned. My impression was that the design was sprayed on with some kind of waterproof ink - more like a glorified inkjet print job than whatever is done for large-run clothes printing.

I don't know if they've improved their production methods since then or not, but if they haven't changed anything, expect a shirt that will become smaller and turn pink (unless you get a black one, but then, the fading of the design will be obvious sooner).

Personally I prefer to buy clothes that can all go in one load (on hot), be dried on high, and that will last for years anyway. So after my first experience, I've stayed away from CafePress even though I love the customization idea.

If I wore a shirt like that I'd be beaten up in less than 10 minutes, and would continue to get beaten up every 10 minutes until I took the shirt off.
