Since it has clearly been shown that viral zombies don't pose a threat, let's move on. Assume that zombies literally are the undead. Everyone who dies, or who is dead but not fully decomposed, becomes a zombie. What happens then?

I have a training sword that might be useful for bashing in undead skulls.

But I don't think I'd be able to take on more than one at the same time.

I'd probably evade the zombies well enough and the small town i'm in would be fairly easy to avoid/raid for supplies.
Once those run out there's a few farms around I could try and trade with or loot if the locals are zombies/dead.

The bigger issue would be dealing with those not zombified, facing a future where society collapses isn't an enticing one. People would be unstable and if a gang sprung up I'd be either forced to face them or leave town. I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere so it would be a really rubbish existence scavenging from some small farms or towns.

I'd be cut off from the world, it's likely electricity/gas would be a problem. So I'd be forced to go back to wood/coal fires for energy. It can get fairly chilly in the winter here, I would not want to face it without central heating or clean running water.



So if I did survive I'd probably die to a gang/malnutrition/cold. In roughly that order.
