I have no idea where the fuck you got this weird idea from that if I disagree with you, I simply can't be an LGBT.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

No it isn't. No hobby is a "waste" of resources, and caring about fashion and hair is actually practical. Unless you're someone who wears his jeans up to his chest with his shirt tucked in, and has Polish plaits.

Fuck that.
That's not how this shit works. In fact, it's a stunningly homophobic stance to take.

Not in any way.

There are affected, effeminate and homosexual men.

All three group overlap, but none is necessary in and of each other.

What I saw here was people confusing affected with effeminate, and questioning whether reforcing an effeminate stereotype is liberating or denigrating to the whole of gay people.

What I note is some of those opinions, generally those on the 'denigrating side', don't seem to hold in account individual freedom, and how one should be free to be whatever one wants.

Well, i'd argue it may be a waste of resources given the various looming crises humanity is trundling toward, but it's not the worst offender.
And given that it probably results in MOAR HUMAANZ being produced, who are themselves a resource, at least it's getting a return.

Sure.
If they want to act like that, go ahead.
Just stop calling it gay culture, because it isn't gay culture.
Call it gay pride culture, or shit, Effeminate gay culture.
Eithers good. But calling it gay culture negatively affects non-effeminate gays.

The OP is right. I'm a bisexual, I'm in the closet to most, apart from my secret boyfriend. Lots of gays go over the top with being feminine. It's quite annoying and very stereotypical. And as for the use of 'gay', it's quite overated, e.g:
"Sorry sir, the ride is closed"
"Argh, that's so gay!"
