I thought it was more along the lines of "look at how ludicrous sexism is", but whatever.

I don't think you understand. The character, story-wise, is literally an overpowered godlike being gracing the planet with their presence to save it in its time of need after you've completed the main storyline. You kill mythic beast out of legend as a description of your day job.
Also, Alduin is Akatosh, so you literally kill a god during the game.

You'll still never kill Sheogorath. He'll just teleport you so high above the ground that even you power won't save you from the fall damage.

Actually, that should be the next game. Fate is messed up, so you have to go fix it.
Personally, I think the next game will be the Thalmor trying to undo creation by destroying Adamantine Tower. It's obvious from the meta plot clues that have been hinted at since Daggerfall.

Genius and madness are two sides of the same coin, and all the greatest artists in history had plenty of both. Kubrik was utterly psychotic and nearly killed his actors.Frisivisia wrote:Shit, fuck, it's been a while for me and the Elder Scrolls. I knew that, but I got thrown off. Fuck.
Honestly, I wish we'd go to the Summerset Isles. I've always wanted to see them. It makes me rather sad that we probably won't.

Part of the charm of TES is its bizarre, alien elements. That's why I'm still so nostalgic for Morrowind even though the gameplay is utter ass in retrospect.

Also, Skyrim really hates the idea of the Dragonborn ever being saved. The only time where it is absolutely necessary is at the very beginning and every other example is pretty disputable.
Honestly, even then, the only real part of anyone else helping you is when your binds are cut. You do everything else yourself. When you get to Riverwood, both guys even admit that you saved them far more than they saved you.

If we're talking about bad messages, then Zelda is the worst offender of them all. That game teaches you that people are completely fine with you breaking into their houses and smashing all their pottery. You could even find money in them.

There's nothing wrong with boobs.
Make them look like children. Like in Disagea!
And then get called a paedo or a loli. There's no appeasing people.

Personally, I'd love to see a variety of body types - but if it's too hard for game developers to manage that, I do think the "default" body type should look like a body that occurs in nature, and, ideally, like a body type reasonably well suited for doing whatever it is the character does. I'm not even saying "no skinny women with big knockers" - as a skinny woman with big knockers, I can hardly deny that body type exists. But maybe make the big knockers D cups rather than M cups if she has a 24-inch waist, and maybe have her put them in a freaking sports bra and some practical armor while fighting monsters rather than having her go, "Tee-hee! Getting black eyes from my own bizarrely perky mostly-naked chest-melons is so fun! Did I mention they're larger than my head? How am I even walking upright? Tee-hee!'

...or you could just make them look like PEOPLE, with the normal variation in body types that occurs in actual human beings. It's crazy, but it just might work.

Statistically speaking there is going to be an ex-hardcore MMO player elected to public office in my lifetime. That is literally terrifying to me.

I will say that most feminist activist do need to look at newer games to compare and on a broader spectrum too. The video that Dakini linked showed games that are made pre-2010. It made good points, it just seems outdated to me. Considering newer games like Bioshock Infinite would make it more relevant to modern times.
Have video games and the culture around them really changed so much in the last three years?
