You've misread my complaint. The issue isn't the PC's sexuality. It's that no romance option has a defined sexuality. All of their sexualities change to fit the PC's.

What's really wrong with that? The game is basically allowing the player to decide how characters are through their actions. In some incarnations, this character might be gay or straight, or bisexual, asexual, whatever. The character of "Western" RPG's has always been to give the player character as much power over the world and its narrative as possible.

Ironically, the Imperial scholars actually got it right for all the wrong reasons. Gods in The Elder Scrolls universe are quite peculiar. Just look at Lorkhan. Shezzar is Lorkhan. Shor is Lorkhan. The Underking is Lorkhan. Talos is Lorkhan. Masser and Sedunda are the split halves of Lorkhan's body. And, during all this, Lorkhan is also dead and missing his heart. The cosmology of TES is complex and confusing.

Personally, I think the next game will be the Thalmor trying to undo creation by destroying Adamantine Tower. It's obvious from the meta plot clues that have been hinted at since Daggerfall.
