They're not fictional. They're false. The two are not synonymous.

Its not a graphics card issue so much as a performance issue. I have a 5 year-old Dell Mini. The damn thing doesn't even have a factory cooling fan (I have a USB-powered exterior one, but even then, sometimes it doesn't do its job). It overheats, and gets laggy. I mean, laggy as shit. When its acting up, I've been known to type an entire paragraph, wait 5 seconds, and then the paragraph appears.

If it's a performance issue than any computer capable of reliably handling flash games should be able to reliably handle all but the most recent games. Flash is infamously a bloated, memory-devouring pile of garbage.

that truth is not directly proportional to the number of people who believe it.

“Life expectancy” in most Western countries is still jimmied around with as a consequence of infant mortality, and we still haven't really done much to actually extend life.

Emulators are perfectly legal, actually. ROMs are considered legal if you've ever owned a copy of the game in question and never plan on selling the ROM for personal profit.

EDIT- Oh, and you're technically allowed to download a ROM of a game you've never owned before as long as you pinkie swear to delete it within 24 hours.

Somewhat as legally binding as "calling shotgun". i.e. much more effective if you actually have a firearm.

Globalized capitalism coupled with modest yet effective regulatory oversight is for all intents and purposes an absolute good which should be desired by all nations of the world who wish to thrive in the 21st century and beyond considering how a great amount of current and future prosperity, human advancements, and peaceful geopolitical relations have resulted from it.

Only currently unfathomable post-capitalistic alternatives which do not exist at this point in time could possibly prove more beneficial.

Also always go for the extrema with bathroom stalls instead of defaulting to an open one next to or in between other users when possible.

Seriously why is it not a law.

IMO the Start Screen and lack of Start Menu sucks, but that was easily rectified by a $5 purchase.

This makes me boggle, more than anything else... Someone else is selling a Start Button for Windows. And even when MS releases 8.1 with a promise (well, as I've heard it told) to get the Start Button back, they still don't give it you (what looks like it is just a screen-shortcut to change to Metro, and the equivalent to the Start Menu is somewhere else entirely).

(Oh, I know what MS was thinking... "We want to make a common interface. Well, we can't squish Windows as we know it onto phone-sized machines (shame about CE), so let's unsquish a phone-type OS onto full desktops, etc, instead..." Well, some of us don't even want a smartphone-like interface, and don't even use a smartphone... Luckily I've still got a few unused XP licences that I can get installed on machines, and can arrange for some (legit) Win7s on any machine where it seems worthwhile to go further up the chain (not that there's many additional features that I look out for). And if that all fails, I'm already a fan of Fedora and WINE's pretty good at what it does...)
