Of course the people would be better off with a democratically elected government not committing terrorists acts across the world, but from what I have seen, the country seems to become more like Iraq today, with sectarian violence increasing. Since the transition from dictatorship to democracy was quite quick, it doesn't seem to have worked as effectively as the world hoped.

I was really talking about both "God did <foo>" (that of religion attempting to exclude/circumvent science) and "<bar> proves that there is no God" which is an unwarrantable epistemiolgical argument sometimes given by people aspiring to be on Science's side.

"That which is Caeser's", etc, where the property of the one cannot be claimed (in the appropriate way) also by the other. Of course anyone using those arguments are straying onto the territory of the other, with a load of beartraps hidden in the long grass.
