Please don't encourage them to talk more about how great 1985 was.
August 23rd Seahawks at Packers, even though it's only a pre-season game the Green Bay Faithful(which is more faithful than most AFC and NFC fans) will be in force, because
WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Meh, I'll take the Packers and Bears history of the Vikings. It's all about titles. But the Vikings have had their fair share of great regular seasons, and they are certainly more accomplished than the Lions.

Easily. The Vikings lead the Bears 53-49-2 all time. Against the Packers: 55-49-1 for the Packers.
Championships wise, The Packers are the leaders, followed by the Bears. The Vikings and Lions are tied, since both have won an NFL Championship(If I recall, the Lions did), but not a SB.

Detroit has never played in a superbowl
Four teams (the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans) have never appeared in a Super Bowl.

The NFL Championship predates the merger (and so the Superbowl too). Detroit won 4.
