Saints season in a nutshell. Was never in doubt, but close enough to scare, lol

Why is everyone saying the hit on Drew that was flagged was a bad call and not the obvious missed call when Capernick throw it away out of the inzone that wasn't called?

I personally wouldn't have seen that called, I don't like all these rules babying QBs, but the rules the way they are it was a good call. Niners are just butthurt.

Yeah, I can definitely see the argument that it shouldn't be a rule, I would even agree,(I want Colloseum battles, lol), but the rules as they are, it was the right call.

Why should a solid, powerful hit on an apologist for torture be flagged anyway?
The American Legion is a neo-fascist terrorist organization, bent on implementing Paulinist Sharia, and with a history of pogroms against organized labor and peace activists and of lynching those who dare resist or defend themselves against its aggression.

Maybe because hitting a QB in the shoulder is legal and throwing a ball away in the direction of a receiver from your 1 yard line is not a safety.

It was at a receiver, ao being in/out of pocket don't matter, and same with being on the 1.

The arm slid up as Brees was going down, still no penalty.
Kaepernick wasn't in the endzone anyway, so even if intentional grounding had been called, it wouldn't have been a safety anyways.

To be fair, you've got all of maybe half a second, in real time, to rule on that play as a referee.

Good luck.

You do know that once you post, it's not really your post anymore? And I did mark what I changed, under normal forum convention. And I will drop it as well. Especially since the Saints will lose in Seattle in the Playoffs or to Green Bay... :p

You can clearly see the 9ers upper arm connect with Brees's neck.

I'll admit that I doubt he intended to hit Bree's neck. He is after all short for a QB, but regardless, it was the correct call.

And even so, the 49ers got the ball afterwords and didn't score.
