Read Mein Kampf. He explicitly used religion to justify his actions against the Jews. He did it in the name of the Rhineland.

None of those were good. And Vatican City isn't good.

How where they not good?

The Byzantine empire spawned numerous beautful works of art, and didn't do anything particularly damning in its lifetime.

Israel was a good kingdom, which got beat up for much of its history.

The Kingdoms of Egypt weren't bad, other than the Old(Or was it middle?) which kept the Israelites slaves and built the pyramids using thousands of slaves.

What's so bad about Vatican City? It's not like they are massacring puppies.

rephrase that question please

(Of course Atheism wasn't the motivating force, it was power, power, power. People who don't even believe in religion use it for their own gain. Besides you can't say "I use Atheism to commit my crimes", you don't have to say anything, because an Atheist won't feel like he'll be punished in the afterlife for his crimes, so he's "free" to do that he wants.)

This above:
Is what you said, address it. I've stated that the religious too can find a way to justify themselves as ''God's chosen'' immune from punishment. As many have done in the past.

That's a rather sweeping generalization, don't you think? Of course, that is the easier way.

Byzantine Empire: The throne was often occupied by utterly incompetent rulers, and political assassination was common, sometimes resulting in destructive, if brief, civil wars between competitors for the throne.

Ancient Israel: I will be lazy and just point the horrors in its sacred scriptures

Egypt: again we are talking slavery on a massive scale, absolute rule by the pharaoh

Vactian City: It gets all the flaws of Catholicism throughout since it was given to the church tacked on.

Nothing political, but the church should work as a charity and similar things as that, aside from being a place of worship.
