Florida is full of the elderly, and the elderly generally don't use computers, so I don't see how this would affect anything.

Electronic devices networked to be used in a game of chance. That is the very definition of a voting machine.

1. Mechanical voting machines exist.
2. Florida still keeps its electoral votes, which have to be distributed to someone.

Florida should be banned from Having its votes counted for a period of 8 years. As reparations for the whole Bush-Gore scandal.

HuffPo wrote:When Florida lawmakers recently voted to ban all Internet cafes, they worded the bill so poorly that they effectively outlawed every computer in the state, according to a recent lawsuit.

In April Florida Governor Rick Scott approved a ban on slot machines and Internet cafes after a charity tied to Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll was shut down on suspicion of being an Internet gambling front -- forcing Carroll, who had consulted with the charity, to resign.

Florida's 1,000 Internet cafes were shut down immediately, including Miami-Dade's Incredible Investments, LLC, a café that provides online services to migrant workers, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The owner, Consuelo Zapata, is now suing the state after her legal team found that the ban was so hastily worded that it can be applied to any computer or device connected to the Internet, according to a copy of the complaint obtained by The Miami Herald.

The ban defines illegal slot machines as any "system or network of devices" that may be used in a game of chance.

And that broad wording can be applied to any number of devices, according to the Miami law firm of Kluger, Kaplan, Silverman, Katzen & Levine, who worked with constitutional law attorney and Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz.

The suit maintains that the ban was essentially passed "in a frenzy fueled by distorted judgment in the wake of a scandal that included the Lieutenant Governor’s resignation" and declares it unconstitutional.

Read the full complaint here.

Reminds me of the country that accidentally legalized same-sex marriage. Also, I hope they get this corrected soon and, you know, actually consider the implications of the wording of these laws, because seriously :palm: .

Wait......they banned Internet cafes?

WHAT THE FUCK FLORIDA???

If Floridians are fucking stupid enough to vote for a supermajority of legislators who vote to ban internet cafes (can't have the Proles organising, can we dah-ling?), then they should be treated as a conquered territory until they can get with the fucking program and become a civilised people!

Eh, the old, rich white farts still get to have their votes count - most of them don't want to believe it's not the 1950s anymore, let alone that there are these things called personal computers.

So only the old rich white people get to vote.....just the way the fucking Republicans want it, the unbelievable cunts.

Why the FUCK does anyone under 80 vote Republican? EVER??

Well, I'm sure that the bill this cartoonishly corrupt legislature rammed through reads better in the original German.

Actually, Hitler didn't ban computers as we would know them in Germany while Chancellor or Fuhrer of the country. Largely because of the oft-overlooked fact that they didn't exist.

Next step is to seal up all the roads going in and out of Florida. If all goes well, it'll be like there is no Florida! Don't screw this up, guys!

If we move quickly, we might be able to take Texas by surprise.

Why does anyone over 80 vote Republican? Old people need a lot of welfare (Medicare, social security, pensions, etc.)
