My opinion of him is a sine curve, it goes up and down. The only civil rights victory he had was the repeal of DADT, DOMA was the SC Obama appointed Kagan and Sotomayor which helped, but SC action is not executive action either way in the end and same can be said of Congressional actions, although president do have more sway in congress. In the end Obama has not done much for civil liberties, NSA still has too much power, the general executive branch cares too much about private actions of citizens, not much different than Bush's administration.
Foreign policy, he has followed in the path of the imperialist Presidents, Teddy Roosevelt, Truman, Johnson, Reagan and both Bush's, along with others. The current administration and I think the general populous care too much about shaping the world as we desire it. We should not interfere with other nations governments. Let the Egyptian people, the Syrian people, the Libyan people have their governments and not impose American big brother ethics on them. So I will reluctantly support the only candidate who will oppose these anti-American traditions of civil right neglect and foreign interventionism (although I realize these traditions go back to the 2 and 3 presidents), ironically he is Republican that says something about democrats...

I don't have much knowledge about his interior performance but I feel that he is nourishing moderate islam and neo-ottomanism in our region (as put forward by the republican Louie Gohmert) which badly affects my country in terms of slight islamization and conservatization as a part of the project.
