On foreign policy, he seems to have set a precedent of backing Islamic extremists to fight against their secular governments. The Kill List will probably be his most enduring legacy. Drones are the future of war and I'm not anti-technology, but the drone strike program lacks adequate oversight and accountability. The legal standards for killing US citizens are still a secret, and that's as Orwellian as anything our government has ever done.

Domestically, it's hard to point to any real achievement on his part. Whether that's his fault or the fault of Congress doesn't change the fact that he hasn't gotten much done. It was a mistake for conservatives to call the Affordable Care Act ObamaCare; doing so gave him too much credit. PelosiCare would've been a more accurate moniker. Increasingly, it's looking to be too big a bureaucratic headache to ever fully implement.

I think his failure on gun control exemplifies his entire presidency. He had big plans that sounded great and that a lot of the country could get behind... and then it just didn't happen. I honestly feel bad for the guy.

His Foreign policy is pathetic and unprincipled. He has spent more and cost more than any other President in history. I can't remember the last time he has mentioned addressing unemployment. He was reelected without running on an agenda and now, halfway through his second term, he is already a lame duck with no hope of regaining enough political capital in Washington to accomplish anything beyond immigration reform. He is betting his presidency on winning the house in 2014 and he will lose.

Thats a lot of unsubstantiated bullshit for one post.

Kudos.

Poor foreign policy, poor domestic policy. He's just Bush Jr v2, unfortunately. I expected better.

Also, NDAA 2011 just continued Bush's constitutional violations.

I just want some kind of source that the Republicans were going to win if it weren't for those two.
