I don't have money (well, I do ok now), and don't have good status, and yet I have a beautiful wife that I have been with for almost 22 years.
In other words, no, the people whining about being "friend-zoned" are just blaming the woman for their own failings. Not everyone that you're interested in is going to be interested in you.
