No, that's not what atheism is.
Atheism is the lack of belief in a deity or deities.

Religion is a system of beliefs and practices, not one belief all by itself. Theism is not a religion, but Islam is.

Atheism is the lack of belief in any gods, not usually the positive belief in no gods.

Both your definitions were incorrect, I'm afraid, and atheism is not a religion.

"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Probably not and/or IDK depending on the god/s

Hydronium wrote:Why can't people just take the gift of salvation that Jesus has to offer.

Because we don't have evidence that he existed or that we need to convert to get that gift in the first place.

Atheism = lack of belief in a deity/deities.

This is not the same as an almost interchangeable word: anti-theism, which is the belief that theism is harmful to society and as such it must be eradicated.

While many people are atheists, not all of them are anti-theists. And it doesn't mean an theist cannot believe a brand of theism isn't harmful and can become, effectively, an anti-theist.

So you are saying god hates hipsters?

In a comment something completely different, I am going to make a educated guess that we are talking about the abraham god and nothing else.

I believe in the lord for personal reasons, since god I believe states through the word of his followers that it takes faith and trust, and nothing more or less. However, since I can't prove anything with logic skills or reasoning needed for everything else, I guess the only way to find out is until the very end.

I see, so by the definition of the word, atheism is not a religion then. Thank you for the information then. But again, the quote still hold the same meaning, whether you acknowledge it or not.

Because Apophis is an avatar of Nyarlathotep. Unless you consider insanity to be salvation, you'd have to be an idiot to take it. But if you worship Nodens, he can save you from Nyarlathotep.
Apophis was the Egyptian serpent who was the incarnation of Chaos. Nyarlathotep is associated with Egypt, Chaos, and acting in the stereotypical serpentlike way (tricking people, being charismatic and evil).
