My view is that there is no culture without race/ethnicity, you can't meaningfully separate the two. One of the most important traits which defines a culture is what the people in question look like.

Back on topic, the increased racism (drawing from another thread) is most likely due to the balance of power shifting from the majority to being spread equally. I think it is temporary at best. Once all the races settle in I feel pride of any kind will be defunct since the races will continue to lose their definition.

Now before you get the wrong idea about me, I harbour no hate or distrust for my non-white countrymen nor wish to see any segregation. I am simply asking the question.


So lets say a man feels "White pride" in the same way that a black gentleman might, is it ok that he feels that way? Is it possible to be a supporter of equal rights for the races and be a proud white? or has White supremacy and separatism demonized the concept?


I personally have never felt any pride or shame for the colour of my skin and can't understand why it matters to others. I value my nationalities much more, which is much more flexible.

Personally I think everyone should take pride in who they are, no you shouldn't harm your fellow countrymen because they are different then you, but we should all celebrate our uniqueness. I take pride in myself and don't look down upon anyone else based upon how they look, after all it is the person inside that makes you who you are just as much as the outside.
