With the vastness of the Universe, it's just foolish to think that there isn't extraterrestrial life; however, it seems unlikely that any level of technology would allow any kind of contact with anything beyond microbes, which could very well be in the Solar system.

1) Electrons break the laws of physics (well, as they were in the 1900s).

It is entirely possible a theoretical alien race that is out there (which statistics says exist) has also developed technologically (once again, statistics) to a point wherein a mode of transport has been found that seems impossible to our level of technological development. From there it's just averages before they start showing up on or around Earth to check things out.

Anything view that is advanced that is not the norm is met with vehemence and bile. That's what I mean by mainstream science, but what I meant was by scientists/scientific establishment.

Also, wormholes? I'm sure there's probably a way to travel around the universe relatively quickly. I by know means know what it is though.

I know that in reality, there will be life out there in the galaxy, definitely at a microbial level, most probably at a primal level, possibly at a level of pre-civilized sentience, a few at a civilized standing and very, very little as advanced as us.

But, who knows? I look towards this optimistically. Space is the last great frontier, and it is practically endless. Anything could be out there.
