Your Supernatural Experiences

ATTENTION: This thread is not about wether the events are real or not but whether you have experience or heard of any. This is not going to be a debate of whether "Supernatural" things exist. It is ok to put your opinion on the posted story though (obviously)

So, I remember a similliar thread in the past but it got threadjack. So here we go. Your Supernatural experiences, or ones you have heard about. I thankfully havent experienced any but have heard a lot of them. Ones that come to mind now is a simply fairy story.

Where I come from fairy stories are preety popular, so are crossroad story. It is said that in triple crossroads (3 directions) bad things happen... And I have heard a relative saying that he was driving his car and when he stopped to... do his buisness he heard some weird voices that however did not make sense but no one was there.
So that was the generic story.

Now, I have an other story that had kinda shocked me when I first heard it (it was late at night) but will post it later.

Happened to me to but it wasnt shouting, just hearing it. I asked a psycologist and she said it happens to everyone and it is due to tension or something like that

It is one of these things that you think that only you have it when in reality most people have it. Like that eye thingy which appears when you look at the sky and moves when you try to look at it.

Well gather around the fire then kids. And bring some marshmallows.

Throughout the length and breadth of Australia, across centuries of written and oral history there are tales of a creature, sometimes called a yowie, hairy man, and a thousand other names, but the sake of this telling, a Tall Man. Most of the stories tell of it being a large human-like creature, covered in thick black hair, or simply indistinctly black and being somewhere in the vicinity of six to eight feet high. A lot of them mention these creatures being associated with particular trees, usually tall, gaunt dead ones. I've grown up with such stories, I've both some aboriginal and settler blood, so most of my family knows the story. Some say these creatures only appear to those with aboriginal heritage. I'm not so sure.

Now I'm a rational fellow, these stories didn't mean much to me. Until I started to experience such things myself. One night about two years ago maybe my friend and I were staying at another friends. Unfortunately the last friend had failed to provide us any sleeping arrangements. So we resolved to leave his house and a make the two to three kilometres walk across town to his house. Now between us lay a heavily forested wetland area in the centre of town, and a place I knew well. In junior high me and my friends frequently charted paths through it to get to various houses and beaches, and I knew of a path that cut through a swamp and led right to the back of my companion's house. By the time we reached the area it was about four o'clock in the morning. We cut down a grassy hill and made for the thick swamp, but as we reached the beginning of the path we stopped. We heard all of a sudden the sound of a large creature crashing through the undergrowth. It was unmistakbly bipedal and heavy. There was no sound of the unmistakable bounding of an eastern grey kangaroo, and considering the location, right close and surrounded by built up areas, the presence of them was unlikely. Me and my friend froze and went dead silent. But still it crashed towards it. Eventually the crashing stopped, right at the edge of the forest, as if facing us. We stood, listening for a couple of minutes, before slowly backing off, and then sprinting across the field to the top of the hill. Mercifully it didn't follow us. After that we took an alternate route through a more worn path that lead us a couple of kilometres out from my friend's house, but on a main road. We counted ourselves lucky and talked about female anatomy all the way home.

And for a terrifying twist!

Now I don't know what that was, it could have been a walking lone kangaroo that had parachuted in. It could have been a hermit, or a madman, or an alien or Father Christmas. But less than a couple of hundred metres from that area, sat a tall dead tree that can be seen for miles around. I would have put it down to nothing had I not heard another a month or two ago. Apparently, my housemate's brother was four-wheel driving through an adjacent area, at quite a reckless speed, over sixty at least, and one of them had resolved to film it on mobile phone camera. When they watched it later they noticed something they hadn't seen at the time. A tall black figure matching their speed, lit up by the headlight as it ran by the side of their car.

Now I'm not saying I believe this. It's just it's been confimred by people I know and trust. And it freaks me out despite myself. Remember this isn't my only story about the Tall Men. I could have ran into another in October of last year with two friends. I yelled at that one, reasoned with it, and it let us go, or rather stopped following us. But that's another story.

Nope. Never seen it personally. Heard and felt it twice at least though.

Ok, I was told this story like a year ago so I might be missing some parts.

They told me that back when my Grandpa was a lad he would go around the village late at night. One night, very late, while he was still a kiddo he was walking through the village and there he saw 2 old men fighting each other and yelling at each other. Then from nowehre appeared his (dead) grandpa and told him "What are you doing here" and made him grab a sheep that was there and he passed away safely without the old men hitting him on the way. His grandpa also told him to never be out late on the village alone. And even when he was an elderly man before his death he would still not be alone at the village late at night.... so he wasnt making it up. So yeah, his dead grandpa protected him
