YES. Now if my best friend marries in CA or in any other state where same sex marriage is legal AND resides there, he gets the same benefits. Also, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING CALIFORNIA BACK TO SANITY/EQUALITY.

Too bad section 2 of DOMA wasn't up for question though.

Why is it a shame that an uncostitutional law was recognized as such by the Supreme Court and thus blocked from being put into motion?

No, infringing on people's rights on the basis of tradition is a horrible standard by any rational metric. The world functions better when people are bigoted reactionaries clinging on to outdated policies.
