The underlined is JUST AS BAD as the italicized. Just like the people who passed the theft victim before the Good Samaritan arrived. They played no part in his beating and robbery, but by leaving him on the roadside to fucking die, they were just as guilty as the muggers themselves.

It's a crime by omission, and quite blatantly so.

Actually, I chose to go to Church...my household was Catholic-Southern Baptist, so in the-then interest of harmony religion was left out.
