Murdering Jews, Gypsies, and homosexuals was legal in Nazi Germany. I guess that wasn't murder according to your dictionary definition.

I refuse to use a term designed to label human beings as non-persons.

And I'm sure you've got a source for fetuses being human beings with full rights.

There was a time when the rights of Jews and Armenians went unacknowledged while they were being exterminated. I refuse to watch another disenfranchised minority suffer from unjust laws.

Your argument's strength is inversely proportional to the amount of childish hyperbolic shrieking it contains.

The threadjack is over NOW!

Knock it off. I'll reopen in a little once my point has been understood.

Alright, I'll stick the point of the OP.

IMO, Wendy Davis and her supporters are murder enablers.

IMO, the people who are trying to pass this bill are champions of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And in my opinion you folks are misogynists who think women don't deserve a right to bodily autonomy and should be breeders.

I can play too.

Relevant stuff:

1. Article about how we had to go to round two and now round three.
2. They had a rally supporting Wendy and whatnot over in front of the Capitol today. I hear they brought in mounted police officers.
3. I also heard that they disabled wifi and took away cell phones in the legislation room during the session.
4. Relevant and funny.

Yeah, I guess it isn't. I guess it wasn't a crime when the Japanese bayoneted fetuses while they were still in the womb or that Cuban doctors force mothers to abort their fetuses when there's any signs of defect. Nope. They're not human beings just like every other group who can't speak up for themselves.

Mayhem is a crime, you know.

Corrected.

Snip.

Meh. Maybe he isn't as fundamentalist as Santorum, but he is still fundamentalist, at least to me.

Any other explanation for why the Texas Republicans are eager and willing to call special session after special session and even get caught cheating on their state's' voting procedures?

Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

I seriously don't see how enabling murder protects life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You can't really call Godwin when the analogy is appropriate and when the broader analogy included the USSR and other totalitarian regimes, but it's nice to cherry pick points. I'm not going to derail the thread with semantics, but my opinion still stands.

It's good to know that you're smart enough to say snarky things. I would hardly call people misogynists just because they think lives are worth protecting. Texas Republicans are constantly protecting freedom and democracy against Davis and her multiculturalist, identity politicking ilk.
