At least Canada doesn't suffer from an epidemic of reductio ad hitlerum.

And you feel like you've been actually participating?

Your post about how the 2nd amendment is interpreted along with your article is utterly rediculous.

On the contrary, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_o ... _v._Heller

It's absolutely relevant to current gun law. And pay special attention to the dissenting opinions - it's eminently likely that a different interpretation could be reached, which could drastically affect what the Second Amendment means to private gun ownership in the US.

And, of course, the other point I made was that the Second Amendment can be amended.

Both points... you thought you were participating by responding that the bill of rights means it's illegal - which means you either didn't read the post, or you really didn't understand it.

I've seen this picture from other angles, and - according to Willie Brown (San Fransisco Mayor), the 'gun' in question is a prop, and literally cannot fire.

You still have to admit though, that's good trigger discipline right there.
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Doesn't matter, if ti's anywhere close to a rifle in operation or appearance, you use gun safety procedures. I don't care if it's a fucking BB gun.

I don't care if you care. I'm just pointing out that claiming she has no expertise, because she is carrying a dummy weapon is nonsensical, bordering on actively dishonest.

Note: I'm not blaming you - I doubt you made that image, I imagine you're just re-posting someone else's dishonest propaganda.

If everyone had guns obviously gun crimes will decrease. More guns = less crime. Ignore all the statistics to the contrary.

Well, it's kind of true.

If there were so many guns that no one could even move, crime would almost certainly be drastically reduced.

I mean, we could just kill half of all citizens and that would reduce crime by half.

Yes, the lighting is all wrong, as is the focusing. Also, the join between Feinstein and the background is highly exaggerated. Unless this was printed on several respectable news sources, I doubt that it's anything but politically-motivated photoshopping.

It's simple... 2nd Amendment needs to go then. No big deal... right?

I mean the rest of the developed world (Japan, France, Italy etc) seem to be doing very well and are perfectly fine and safe (without high gun crimes) without this stupid thing called... the 2nd Amendment.

Quite frankly, the whole 2nd Amendment has done nothing except condemn a ton of innocent schoolchildren and civilians to die by gunfire...

As has been pointed out many times in other threads, you'd need 2/3 of Congress, as well as 38 states legislatures to repeal the Second Amendment. Since 44 states have the right to bear arms in their STATE constitutions, you'd have to start there first.

It isn't going to happen ANYTIME soon.

But it has to happen or else America will be screwed eventually...

We should be able to buy pretty much nearly any type gun but some background checks including things such as medical history criminal history and citizenship Won't hurt anybody except the manufactures,NRA,criminals, gun store owners and the Mexican cartels overall it makes some sense that a little bit of regulation would help everybody except criminals and legal business.
