Well yes. America would have been such a wonderful country had it only keep to morality and religion. This is driven by those with an agenda to push pornography, fornication, adultery and all sorts of sin and deviation on the American people. In that sense, they are the most oppressed people on the Earth. Every single aspect of their society has been corrupted and their social fabric is virtually non-existent. They have a tyrannical government which has recently bought enough ammunition to wage a 20 year war against their own people. The government's extensive surveillance of their own people was recently exposed. America is a society on its deathbed and the whole world knows it. Their food has been laced with poisons and GMO ingredients, their water supply contaminated with fluoride compounds that induce subservience and obedience. Its a nightmare Orwell couldn't have imagined. In America, you can be arrested without charge. You can be tortured and then released without charge and spend years imprisoned. It is in America that you can't trust your own doctor to give you medication that does more harm than it does good and force dangerous drugs down the throats of ill children.
And you're telling me there is nothing wrong?
Europe doesn't fare much better and all the world's countries are corrupted to some extent.
This seems like it would be more at home on a blog or in a church in Kansas or a conspiracy theory website. Or all three.

It seems quite clear if you read the article that this town was rather religious.
