Mods aren't dictators. They can do whatever the like, just because it suits them. Unless they're bad mods.

No one ever said the mods have to be objective. They're supposed to try to view things with an outside view, which is why a Mod is not supposed to make judgement on a thread they actively participate in. (See: DLN in the early TET, and whichever Mod actively participates in the pony thread)

Yeah, I know (I was going to edit my post to let you off but didn't feel like it). It is true, however, that the Fathers of the Church sent out undercover agents during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th centuries to document all the pagan holidays they could so Christianity could take them over. We have - well, I have - transcripts of the instructions given to the monk, Adrian, when he was sent to Thule to look into Yule. Interesting reading.

...Are those the papers you have in that journal you grabbed out of my hand when I tried to read it?

Just a question.

Mods are regular posters who are given the power to enforce the rules. They are like Internet cops.

Still, they can't take sides just because it is in line with their opinions. Cops don't work like that.

Truth is, we can never know. "Becuz the Bible says so!" is not a legitimate answer. The Catholics legitimately fucked up the Bible.

Even when someone says that, it doesn't reconcile the immorality of the bible.

How is that an answer to my asking how the Catholics "legitimately fucked up the Bible"?

You know, there are only these requirements to be a Christian:

1. Believe Jesus was the son of God.

2. Accept him as your savior.

3. Follow the ten commandments (#3 also applies to Judaism).

So really, why is it that some Christians are getting so threatened by the idea of evolution? Believing that animals pass on traits that eventually lead to evolving doesn't make me less of a Christian. Really, the majority of Christians believe in an "interpretation" of the Bible, it's the people who insist on taking everything literally that reject evolution and also a lot of science as well. In my personal beliefs, understanding science and natural history is to get closer to understanding how God himself works.

Evolution is a fact, much like gravity and other laws of science.

I'll go Darwinian evolution. I considered putting in theistic evolution, but then I realised the any divine figure getting into something like that would be rather redundant.
