Now, provide maths describing this hitherto unaccounted for time-dilation.

Remembering, of course, that the basic tenant of relativity is that there is no uniquely real present moment, and that all time-dilation is relive to the observer, who perceives no change unto them self.

The only reason we have that is because all observations are localized.. so until we bring other observers from outside our heliosphere and our present time into the discussion, we do not know accurately just how time flows. Again, all it's saying is that... time is what you see. But if we're going to make predictions about past or present we have to take into assumption the behavior of time during periods we do not observe and so.. are not relative to ourselves.

I personally am not a temporal physicists or a physicist of any type, merely a hobbyist and I do know that there are theories that dilation may have occurred during the more energetic moments of the big bang. If they did, we would have no way of knowing such a dialation's impact to the present. The same is true for black hole eddies that have not yet rippled through our local space from when black holes go into a decaying orbit collision.

No, once again, when you increase the magnitude of the impact, you increase the amount of water that is displaced as vapor. The effect is a larger, more energetic, explosion. The peaks of mountains would not be flooded, they would be fried.

To be exact, the peaks would probably be fried first.. the a combined tidal wave and rain (water impact= massive evaporation).. might flood them.. depending on whether or not the altitude of said mountains wasn't sheered by the blast wave echoing through the atmosphere around the planet at hypersonic speeds. Will something survive on the other side of the planet? Unknown.

I guess I didn't explain clearly enough: beyond a certain point, increasing the size of the impact decreases the size of the tsunami. And, actually, the biggest tsunami would come as a result of water rebounding after cascading into the vacuum created by the impact. This clearly has a fairly definite maximum size.

Also, an explosion of the magnitude you describe will actually blast away much of the planet's atmosphere, as well as reducing water, not just to vapor, but to its component elements. And, actually, beyond that, it will strip away their electrons turning them into a plasma.

It would be millions of years before the planet recovered.

More than likely, it was a local event .

As I said before, such an event creating the right conditions to cause a truly "global" in our sense of the word.. flood.. is very tiny. Moutains would have to be flatter smoother earth basically.
