Yep - although I expect your explanation will induce vomiting.

Assuming George Zimmerman did not commit a crime because he killed Trayvon Martin in self-defense, the circumstances are tragic for everyone including Mr. Zimmerman. In a very narrow sense, I feel sorry for him even if he committed a crime (although that gives him some benefit of the doubt and is not based on knowledge of all the evidence against him). (I feel sorry for or some pity for many criminals in situations where I believe you would call that absurd, "bleeding heart" liberalism.)

Being not guilty of a crime is not the same as being blameless, however. Mr. Zimmerman killed someone in either a crime or an avoidable tragedy. A little suffering and -- particularly under disputed facts, the original police recommendation he be charged, and the subsequent decisions of both state and local prosecutors and law enforcement that he be charged -- criminal prosecution are appropriate.

Add that Mr. Zimmerman has an apparent history of violence, at least some history of crimes (including violent crime), and has publicly deceived the court and (by his own admission) lied to his attorneys in this case, "poor George" is hardly appropriate. The modicum of sympathy he may deserve is very limited at most.

She really wanted Mr. Zimmerman to testify, kept reminding him, that the decision to testify is his alone not his attorney's. But Zimmerman is not someone you put on the stand he would crumple under cross. It would be almost as bad as putting an argumentative teenager on the stand.

The mainstream media fueling this narrative that a potential acquittal (which is a fear of mine) will fuel race riots is disgusting. I gave my voice to the Justice for Trayvon movement from the very beginning and people united, of all races, because we were disgusted by a senseless act of violence; no one wants another.

Nor do I hope any violence befalls Zimmerman if he walks away. Not because he wouldn't be deserving but because he shouldn't be martyred. I would hope he'd end up remorseful and realize he was a loser who let his delusions about being a hero lead him to kill an innocent teen. But I don't think Zimmerman will ever feel remorse for what he's done, so I hope he is convicted, even though my hopes are uncertain.

You think racial extremists groups like the Black Panthers are going to let him walk without good ol' Southern vigilante justice? What social life will he have without being looked down upon? Given that under any and all of his many out of court versions of events or the version proffered by his defense in court, Mr. Zimmerman expressly violated the basic principles of Neighborhood Watch in the night in question he should not be allowed to be a captain or a participant of any such program. Particularly when his violation of those principles directly resulted was the avoidable killing of a young man who (at least prior to any confrontation) was harming no one and committing no crime.

Note I mean that Mr. Zimmerman should not be allowed by any Neighborhood Watch program itself to participate. Other than where a program is government affiliated or as a part of a sentence, probation, or parole, I do not think he should or can be legally barred from such participation.

I don't think the judge has any agenda but she seems like she really hates all the lawyers involved. If she hates the defense team more it's only because they've pulled more shenanigans.
