Whether any Disney "fairy tale" film with the possible exception of Snow White (for being the first big Disney success) is actually all that important to the study of "film history" is up for debate.

Usually they're vapid, gross oversimplifications of the tales they're based on, and culturally and historically inaccurate (look at Mulan and ESPECIALLY Pocahontas)
