I stand by my "if you want this place to be more attractive to adults get rid of the children" stance as validated by our "getting ready for prom" friend here.

As a matter of fact I believe the rules explicitly state we don't allow the advocation of illegal activity.
We do need to have it reported, though.

I'm starting to wonder if it might not be time to add a couple more mods. (I'm somewhat hesitant to suggest that, because I think the current crop of mods is, overall, one of the better groups I've seen in my time on this site, and I really don't want to see a new mod get added if they're going to drag things down.) I am (hesitantly) suggesting it, though, because I think part of the problem is that, while I think the mods have mostly done pretty well recently at making good calls once they get around to making calls, there's been a few cases of late where it seems like a pretty long time has passed between an offense occurring and a mod getting online to look at it. While that's no one's fault, seeing a day or two go by between blatant trolling and a mod responding to that trolling does make it easy for people to perceive it as "apparently the mods don't care that so-and-so said this horrible thing," and not notice the warning or ban handed out later.

I've seen reports in Moderation get completely ignored and never responded to... >_>

In fairness what crimes you actually take issue with is sporatic. Someone was reported for advocating tax evasions. The response was "we aren't the IRS"

I want a space that's more friendly to women in general, where we don't have people with the mentality of thirteen year olds saying that women don't deserve to be on the Internet, to get out, and to shut up when someone says something sexist.

Sorry. What I am hearing is "I don't want to hear opinions I don't like."
Not much room for debate if you're going to get rid of the opposing side, no matter how asinine the opinion is.
