Yes, much of the public is scientifically illiterate, but that's a separate problem. And largely due to religion, not atheism.

Theories are constantly being revised to reflect new discoveries.
I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

I said "largely", not "entirely". You can't deny that the 46% belief in YEC is due to something other than religion.

I'm a radical environmentalist but I still think saying the earth is literally a unified being is a bit silly unless you go a step farther and believe in panpsychism or idealism.
