Ah. In that case I need to revise my number of hijabs spotted in Turkey significantly downward. So if you see an old lady in Turkey, assume it's a traditional cloth and not a lazily tied hijab?

You can easily figure that out. It's pretty similar to what many Russian old women also wear;

It's not like the religious have a problem with secularism, but there should be some kind of mutual respect toward each other. Mosque is a sacred place for many people here and they could act more carefully.

Surely; most of the religious will not support us anyway; but no need to fan the hatred.

I suppose so, that said this attempt to discredit the movement will not work. If there are religious people in the movement then it should be clear that these few do not represent the whole.

I heard Gezi Park's among the last of Istanbul's green spaces. These environmentalists' protest, while admirable, isn't going to stop the park from being bulldozed. Will it?

Take a look at this : http://i.imgur.com/qh9gQdG.jpg

The whole thing has gotten less about that and more about the erosion of Turkeys' founding ideals.

If you are crime infested, with high political corruption rates and bigotry in the population, then yes, you're the Italy of the Baltics.

To be fair, that applies to all of the Baltics, not just Lithuania.

Did you see the end of the video with what appeared to be gas canisters being thrown.

After the revolution finishes, I want a square and at least a few streets named after the People's Bulldozer.

Turks are closing their bank accounts and withdrawing their money from banks owned by the mainstream media bosses which blacked out mass protests against the government. Garanti Bank lost 13% of its share price.

http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/o ... l=GARAN.IS

Comes form source, could anyone confirm this? By that I mean that this is the cause, I know it has dropped 13%.

The president is more reasonable for sure, he made a statement criticizing Erdogan by implication, saying "Democracy is not all about elections" and said the protesters' messages have been taken.

But we want to see some real action. I believe he has the power to pull the police off, or at least have the government do so.

Turkish protestors wave money at news broadcaster NTV. The title of the article has misspelled 'wave'.
