I see, thank you.

Good on them for not helping the police, someone must take a stand.

It's things like this that make me genuinely smile. It's heartwarming.
Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

But the US condemned Edogan for the behaviour of the police.

May be the reason Hippo hasn't been seen anymore in this thread.

Or maybe he's just offline for a while, taking a break from his 'What America is and why everything should be like it from a Finns perspective' crusade.

Entirely possible.

Not even a typical Finn's perspective, while we're at that. Just a typical Hippo's.

Some protesters took refuge in a mosque after clashing with the police, and a picture shows that they drank beer inside which pissed the religious off. They are using it to discredit us.

That's not a hijab, but a traditional cloth, mostly worn by old women not on religious grounds.

While it might have not been the most tact of behaviors, it certainly seems like they're grasping at straws over there when it comes to discrediting the movement.

Discredit? As if that would work against people who believe in your nations founding ideals who seem to be the majority.

Ah. In that case I need to revise my number of hijabs spotted in Turkey significantly downward. So if you see an old lady in Turkey, assume it's a traditional cloth and not a lazily tied hijab?

It's not like the religious have a problem with secularism, but there should be some kind of mutual respect toward each other. Mosque is a sacred place for many people here and they could act more carefully.

Surely; most of the religious will not support us anyway; but no need to fan the hatred.

Not quite. Old ladies in Lithuania wear it all the time.
