Calm the flippity fuck down. It's not like the guy is committing genocide. He's an asshole I'd be glad to see go, as in "go" out of office. Not "ugh, he's a fascist dick and a protestor is dead, so now I'm equating him to Hitler, and uh Mussolini, and uh Thatcher!"

For fuck's sake.

Kemalist wrote:Thousands of people celebrated in the streets when Thatcher died.

Yes, and those people were assholes.

Kemalist wrote:The same when Hitler and Mussolini died. And yes, the same will happen after Erdogan finally kicks the bucket!

Nice, let's compare a guy who tried to systematically murder all the Jews, in addition to actually killing millions to a butthole who cracked down on protests and some people got killed. Bravo.

Bravo

I've learnt that it was Besiktas football fans who seized the buldozer and chased after the cops, great job guys!

It seems like for the first time we won a clash against the police and made them run away like chickens. With no arms or knives, the people keep resisting!

Yea, we need more hooligans at the moment. They know how to talk the police's language.

I'm all for chasing down the police of a corrupt government in a bulldozer, but I hope the bull dozer crew is okay. I can't imagine that the rioters were especially happy to see them when they got thrown out by the soccer fans.

What do the words on the sign in the second image mean?
I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

Everywhere is Taksim, Everywhere is resistence. It's the popular slogan of the protests.

Sorry for being ignorant, but what specifically had the turkish government done?

The government was planning to destroy a central park in the Taksim Square along with many trees which mobilized the enviromentalists. But currently it has developed a nationwide general protests aganist the government and years of its authoritarian rule.

It's a government that is gradually (more quickly lately) becoming authoritarian and Islamist because it has removed the obstacle that has historically prevented that by placing party approved leaders in command of the military. More specifically, attempts to violently remove people peacefully protesting the destruction of a city park turned resentment into resistance.

Turkish protestors know how it's done. If Occupy had used flying kicks against police vehicles, then they would have gotten results.

Erdogan deserves death. Isn't there anybody who can assassinate him? DHKP/C or anything, it will put an end to all this mass.

Possibly. However, for posterity's sake it is better to arrest, try, and imprison deposed tyrants in order to create legal precedents for certain actions being crimes, i.e. leaders who authorize torture end up in prison instead of this guy just got shot. That way in the future when leader B commits human rights violations it is already established that said violations should legally send him to prison.
