So that the international scene views them more negatively?

That'll help a lot.

That was the most stupid thing I've heard all day, aside from the AKP sympathizers. If we do that, then we lose the moral high ground. Right now, we're a hundred per cent in the right. If we start "break more shit and vandalize more property", we aren't right anymore.

That's a fucking stupid idea.

Unless you're one of those "black bloc" people who took over Occupy Oakland.

I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

I'd say that Beşiktaş - İstanbul is the heaviest, but Ankara is being reported to be beyond savage. Makes sense, since it's where all the government buildings are.

I think there is no fight at the moment but Istanbul-Akaretler is currently like the Last Judgement or something.

Just thought I'd bring some clarity.

You don't like Turkey in general anyway, judging from your past comments.

Not many people do, really, by the looks of it.

Except Hippo and one or two others, because some of the people opposing Erdogan are leftists, ergo Ergodan must be correct.

Don't be deceived when our Revolution has finally been stamped out and they tell you things are better now even if there's no poverty to see, because the poverty's been hidden...even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which these new industries foist on you, and even if it seems to you that "you never had so much" - that is only the slogan of those who have much more than you.

ıf an "Anti-AKP party" is founded and the election takes place only between it and AKP, I'm sure Erdogan will not come to power again. Wishing the American model was here now.

It's not that I dislike Turkey...it's that I don't think it's a great model for a secular democracy in the region.

To be fair, I don't think there's any great example there. At least at the moment.
