I'm sure I'd feel more womanly too, with a vagina. That doesn't mean I'm not a woman and it doesn't mean anyone with a vagina is more of a woman than I am.

Where did Obrenovacia say that?

It isn't, though it allows someone to be more comfortable in identifying with a gender group. There was no superiority complex, merely a statement of fact.

I'm sorry, but...

WHAT?!?

As strawman as your argument is, you clearly don't understand the process it takes in the modern world from someone to become transsexual. To think that someone doesn't identify with a gender, yet need genitals to validate that they do? Oh you are seriously in the wrong there hun.

The fact that Obrenovacia can say she's a woman on here proves two things:

1) She's proud of being a woman, regardless of whatever 'downstairs' is. Maybe she wasn't before, but she is now... and you can't take that from someone.

2) If a vagina was a "be all, end all" argument to womanhood... please... tell that to every transgendered woman waiting to become a transexual man. I'm sure they'd love to hear how a vagina can isolate someone within a gender, regardless of whom they identify with.

What?

Seriously, I don't think you people read at all.

The notion that genitalia is connected to sexuality is stupid. Her post said this, and I objected. The notion that there are "stages to womanhood", and one is more or less of a woman depending on how far along you are is also stupid, and I objected.

Neither of those two objections are overly controversial. Or rather, they are, but not in civilized society.

I have a penis, though I'm doing my best to distance myself from thinking in binary terms and demolish the role I've helped others force my thoughts into. I find myself only sexually attracted to people I assume have vaginas, and while I'm not sure why I don't see a need to challenge that right now.

There's different stages to identification, progress and acceptance. For a man to put on a skirt and hop into a woman's changeroom is a little different from therapy, identification, mental transformation, physical transformation, and acceptance....

Congratulations, you're perfectly natural. There's nothing wrong with that, and if other people tell you otherwise they're just trying to push their own beliefs/ideals/orientation(s) on you.
