Meh, there's people who entered the last one who I haven't seen since. Admittedly this is, I believe, the first time someone has joined NS specifically to enter the contest...

Does anyone really care that much? Really, if all of these people had joined yesterday for the purpose of this contest and never intended to post again, would anyone here care?

I chose to post on this one first because it seemed like a lot of people were talking/posting/what have you, and a fairly non-controversial way to start to talk to people.... not because i wanted to validate myself as 'sexy'.

Ignore HK, there's nothing wrong with this being the first (or one of the first) threads you get involved in. And threads like this are a pretty good way to get to know some of the regulars.

It is striking that almost all those novices look like failed prom queens.
So, it is not fair for the 'real' NationStates girls.

Are those some consequences you are willing to live with?

By the way, for reference, the other dude in that picture is the primary one I was considering in your straight male friends thread. Which I was actually curious to hear how that all worked out...
I thought so.
It didn't really come to much of anything, for that particular person. Though the information gained might be useful, for a more current person.
haha...granted, this specific friend is quite the weird kid. It isn't unnatural to do the whole "I love you" thing or even go so far as a kiss on the forehead, something I would never do with any other friend nor would any other friend do to me. But that's why he's the friend he is...if that made sense...
Shame the previous didn't work out, but here's to new chances

Would it intimidate you more to know that some of us have 'known' one another for nearly five years (or more), and that some of us have met in real life and are fast friends? I'd hope not!![]()
