Coming from a cultural perspective, it tends to be a generational thing. Of-course when you live in an era of racism and homophobia and not expect a majority of the people in the area to rip you for your skin color would be stupid. Now a days the children of that generation ( ie the Baby boomers) most try to hide their racism and homophobia in the proverbial lockbox. My parents back in the 80s were like " Don't associate with those uppity kaffers" now they act like " Oh no racism isn't socially acceptable, but we are still racist lets hide it in our closet"

I believe that it is very disturbing the amount of people who speak of homosexuals as if they are demons hiding under your bed about to rape you if you get near them. We need to think of the truth of homosexuals or bisexuals for the matter. They may like same sex and are different from other people, but why do people avoid gays? Are they scared of there sexuality, or is it that they feel they will be ridiculed? Maybe they are scared of being raped. Somebody give me some detail of why they do not like homosexuals. If the reason is biblical then read the scripture again. Don't lie with a man as you would a women. It is not a sin to be gay it is a sin to have same sex.
