Why do you hate the ideals, values, and principles of Scouting so much?

Because the ban on homosexuals always was against those very ideals, values, and principles.

What? I'm not saying they don't have the right to hold their beliefs. I am simply saying they are wrong. If my criticism damages the "value" of their bigoted claim, then I am doing what I intend to.
Anti-gay beliefs do not have to be violent?
They don't have to advocate violence by simply believing homosexuality is wrong. By advocating for enforcement of such beliefs though, then yes, they certainly are supporting violence.
Their beliefs in particular could come from their religious beliefs, are you now saying that their religion is wrong as well?
Yes
Why don't you just tear up the first amendment while you're at it as well. (Joke)
I fully support their right to hold wrong beliefs. However, this is not going to stop me from criticizing them. If they cannot hold up to scrutiny, then they are hardly views worth having.
Look, if you state that one person's beliefs are wrong, just because you and a certain group of people believe they are wrong and a certain other (fairly large, mind you) group believes the opposite, than you yourself are the only person who is wrong, you become the person who is discriminating.
It doesn't work that way. A majority does not make something right. The sun did not revolve around the Earth when most people believe it did.
Is in some cases homophobia the cause of violence, discrimination, or social alienation? Most certainly, however, in most other cases, being anti-homosexual simply means that a person is anti-homosexual, they believe that gays shouldn't have the same rights as others,
Then they are a cause of violence, discrimination, and social alienation.
this is just a belief, if you insult not just the people who get violent about it, but also the people who just believe it because it's their, well, belief, than you are just making yourself look ignorant and just as discriminatory as you claim them to be in the first place, does this clear up my position on the matter?
No, calling people out for holding wrong beliefs does not make you ignorant. I am not ignorant by calling a flat earther wrong, nor am I ignorant by calling a Nazi wrong, nor am I by calling a homophobe wrong. Unless if you propose we reintroduce spontaneous generation into biology, offer alchemy as an alternative to chemistry, allow ritual sacrifice for religious reasons, then you are being inconsistent. In fact, you are being inconsistent right now by making objective claims about my beliefs on this matter.

"Social inequality is often associated with poorer health status, and sexual orientation has been associated with multiple health threats. Members of the LGBT community are at increased risk for a number of health threats when compared to their heterosexual peers. Differences in sexual behavior account for some of these disparities, but others are associated with social and structural inequities, such as the stigma and discrimination that LGBT populations experience" (emphasis mine). You should read what you claim supports you.

It supports your argument, assuming you didn't read the article. It says unprotected gay sex carries a higher risk of STD transmission, which considering it's unprotected, is a bit of a no-brainer. It also states that undue social stigma and marginalization lead to self-destructive habits like substance abuse, not homosexuality itself. So, self-fulfilling prophecy?
