This is why we have to teach our children when they are young what is right and what is wrong. Because they will be exposed to all that is in this world eventually and they need to be able to recognize what they are seeing, categorize it correctly, and then deal with it for what it is. Tolerance of intolerance is not a societal ideal. If we want to progress, bigots must be countered. The alienation of select children based on their sexual orientation is something that should concern us all.

You know why most children get isolated and beat up? Because they are poor, they aren't wearing the "right" jeans, they don't have the newest I-phone, etc. Or simply because they are different in some way. Intolerance is a wicked thing, true, but it serves it's purpose. I will teach my sons to be intolerant of LGBT "persons" and their lifestyle but I am stopping short of teaching them to hunt you down and hang you. So don't push me with your political agenda bullshit.

While that may be the case, the majority of our National Council, and a majority of scouts support the decision. So it is unfair to say that the Scouts don't want this change. It is the BSA who made this change, no one forced them.

Those "huge pushes" are called using facts and logic to convince somebody to support our view. There is NOTHING inherently wrong with that, contrary to what the tone of your post indicates.
