The Union of Myanmar wrote:The Socialist Republic of the Union of Myanmar (real-world) is currently developing nuclear weapons! Why aren't governments doing something about Myanmar? Why are they waiting to do something until a nation already has nuclear weapons? The Democratic Republic of the Union of Myanmar (NationStates version) is trying to simulate an alternate Myanmar that cares for its people instead of its weapons by purposefully starting out as a "Corrupt Dictatorship" and transitioning to a form of full democracy. Previously, China, Iran, Russia, and North Korea were mentioned. What about the real-world Myanmar? It's a nation whose capital is literally the world's largest military fortress-city (Naypyidaw)! Not to mention that it is recognized as having Asia's best and most experienced guerilla warfare trained military!

WTF?! I thought that their army would replace the government before they succeded.

Religious Fundamentalism.

And URS, what about South Ossetia?

The members of the alliance were under no obligation to send troops to Afghanistan. As for George W Bush's skill in running the war, I agree with you. What does that have to do with NATO being the greatest menace to the world today?

I wouldn't call it the greatest menace, but the greatest threat. It's actions along in Afghanistan along has made the situation in the region more one stable. Wewre it could of sticked to speacial operations, targeted missile strikes, training of Afghan soldiers, it chosse a tatcic the never works out too well there, a large invasion force and large occupation of the country. Now not only has the drug problem been worsen but the threat of terrorsim has become worst. The war [and Iraq] only breeds more radicals it kills and the new Afghan goverment is weakening by day, as it's seen as a western pupper to many, corrupted, and not effective. The region has become more unstable. It doesn't help when NATO leaders like Obama add to the problem and expand military action

What is wrong with the world you ask?

There are many things.

Three of which I have personally witnessed many many times.

1. Over population. We are too crowded, and people just generally feel cramped. This leads to aggravation, that leading to anger, anger leading to war. (not to sound like Yoda)

2. The children of this generation (mostly ones that are late teens early twenties) are far too gullible. They do no research, take everything at face value, and have proven a plethora of times to make the worst decisions possible.

3. The children of this generation are far too apathetic. (These kids ranging from ages 13-27 I'd say.) They just generally don't care, and are willing to fuck up because if they do some one will be there to drag their asses out of the fire. (mainly their governments.) They don't carry their own weight for this reason. They see no need to and have no concept of money, lives, or anything important or seemingly valuable.

Like I said, there are many things wrong, these are just three I have witnessed many times in my life.

I've got another one now...

I'm in despair! The slowness and frequent crashing of the NS forums has left me in despair!

Oh wait, I'll just go watch some more anime and wait for the mods and admins to shrink themselves down to chase the gremlins out of the server's tubes with the banhammer of instant vapourization.

I'm pretty sure this is untrue.

No? I would have thought that was voluntary but I will admit to not being up on the specific details of NATO membership. (Hsa anyone noticed that the French acronym for NATO is OTAN, which is NATO backwards?)

Bigotry in all its forms, an unwillingness to work with those of different opinions, petty partisanship, people not minding their own business, religious fundamentalism and extremism, oppression of minorities, women, homosexuals, science, and free thought, censorship, suppression of freedom, the morality police, human greed, the shrinking resources, selfishness (particularly of my and the younger generation), corruption, crime with the intent of harming and taking advantage of another, celebrity worship, Twilight, and Twitter.

I'm probably forgetting some things seeing how there's alot wrong with the world.
