Evolution is the process by which organisms change over time. It is not directed, it has no intention, it does not have a purpose. Animals do not evolve to fit their environment, species change over time to adapt to their environment. And sometimes, divergent adaptation's are sufficient to prevent those organisms from naturally breeding, leading to speciation.
