You're not familiar with summer on NS?
I became acquainted to the concept last year. Everyone above a certain age dreads it.

Yeah, there's a few exceptions such as you who'd be a shame to see go.
But you know what, you're smart enough to pull off early twenties (seriously, I thought you were my age before you said anything about being a teen).
Don't ask don't tell (I'm going to hell for that).

Well I mean I'd obviously lie about it.
Sides, the only side of me you get on here is the snarky one. It's easy to sound bitter and jaded and cynical. Perhaps of course, because it is so easy to become bitter and jaded and cynical.
*ahem*
Waiter, another scotch please. I want to watch the sun set, mourning days gone by...
Anyway, yeah, no. There are a few of on here that aren't so bad, but by and large the opinions of seventeen year olds aren't worth taking into account overmuch. Myself included, since lord knows the myself of a year ago was a blithering idiot.
I'm sure I'll think much the same a year hence.

I'm sure there are plenty of players who quietly sit back without responding and go on to other threads. We don't hear from them very often. They're the quiet 99%. Mostly we hear from people like the OP and a small group of discontented players about our many and various failures. I truly think that most of "the community" probably thinks we're doing a good job, or simply doesn't think about it at all.
