Stop thinking that you are superior to your peers.

Drop this, "I am better than them. They are all shallow jackasses" attitude you are projecting. I remember this one time when I stopped judging other people and fell into a state of depression because my existence was a miserable abscess on the face of the multiverse. Actually, the Earth goes fastest during the northern winter because it reaches its perihelion in January. As we all know from Kepler's laws, bodies sweep out equal areas in a given amount of time, thus when an object is closer to the Sun in its orbit, it moves faster than when it is further away.

Granted, the ellipticity of Earth's orbit is relatively small so it doesn't make a huge difference.
