Some races are more advanced (via technological, social, or economic means) than others, but I think that has more to do with power than it does with race. That is called bigotry. Let's face it, the Caucasian race is more powerful than the Pacific Islander race. Is it because they're Caucasian? No. It just so happened that hundreds of years ago, Caucasians were more advanced through technological and economic means, ergo, this allowed them more leverage over other people. There should be no such thing as superiority, as it just seems not only arrogant but condescending.

The thing is most Racialists tend not to use these terms as they are too broad to pin down certain traits though certain general things can be taken from them.

White,Black, Brown are more of a new world Cultural simplification of race due to the great amount of interbreeding, among the Various Europeans, the Natives and Africans.
And so throughout North and South America you get these broad groupings of "Mutts" that is just simplified by something obvious like skin color and Facial structure.

As a social construct, race is affected by such cultural simplifications.

Like I said simply because certain beleifs and identifications of Race may be socially constructed, that doesn't mean race in itself is "only a social construct".

Actually, it does - because the way in which you group people affects their shared characteristics. Without these arbitrary divisions, we would have no particular reason to note the differences between West Africans and Europeans.

That is not race, that is genepools, it's not blacks in general it's disproportionally Kenyans, and disproportionally Kenyans with Kalenjin genetics, that genepool happens to produce good runners in Africa just like the Tarahumara genepool produces good runners in Mexico (don't know how much they've been to the Olympics though)

Humanity is not divided in races....yet. Simply, because Homo Sapiens is too "young" as a species, and therefore has not yet had the time to divide in species. Only climatic adaptions have emerged.
