Obama Proposes Selling the TVA

First off, if this thread already exists I am sorry for creating a duplicate. I looked and didn't see one, so I went with it.
Now for the good stuff, in President Obama's latest budget proposal, he proposed selling off the TVA.

I don't think the federal government should sell it. I am biased though because of two reasons. 1) My dad works for TVA as a Foreman of a Line Crew. Hes been there 26 years and its always been a good job for him. You grow up around it, and I suppose it grows on you. 2) Here shortly, I will be going to Lineman Training down at Bellefonte and if I pass I will become employed by TVA. So it kind of worries me that if I did get a job, and it was sold, what would happen to mine and everyone else's jobs?

So what do you think NSG, should we sell the TVA, or should we keep this part of the New Deal alive and kicking?

But it's going to be sold. I highly doubt your dad would lose his job. Unless the new owners are idiots as to fire experienced workers.

Not me, it would be quite disappointing if it got sold. Especially if I lost out on my job. I bet if the southern republicans did support selling it, they could kiss their re-election good bye.
