I also like Russia--very pretty but I'm much more metal. I'm disappointed in Finland for just that reason--ever since Lordi, I just keep waiting for another Lordi.

Serbia ... Well, I haven't watched the ones that got through (That's for saturday), but I'm moderately surprised this didn't make it. It's certainly not bad.

So... The entirety of ex-Yugoslavia (Barring Macedonia... For now) was one-shotted in the semis? That's... Unusual. And I suspect just plain ludicrous in one to three cases.

It does probably help to stop the UK or France or Spain or Italy (or Germany usually) producing anyone of any reasonable quality.

Strange, because all of those countries have great artists. Let's have Ska-P, Rammstein(or Cascada), Rolling Stones, Benassi Bros and Daft Punk.

Personally I prefer them to Lordi. Finlands 2007 entry was also pretty good. Finland's entries from 06-08 are all in my top 10 Eurovision songs.

Lordi is... Party Rock, if you will. It actually fits the Eurovision bill pretty well. These guys are... Way too serious for Eurovision.

Lordi do fit the bill for Eurovision better, hence why they won. In terms of what I'd rather listen to Teräsbetoni win.
