Short, easy life or long, hard life?

Short, easy life: you are a billionare, never have to work, can get any luxuries you desire but the catch is that you die at 45.

Long, hard life: You have to work very hard throughout your life, and deal with some tough times, but you live to be 150.

I pick the short, easy life. I don't see any value of a long life if it isn't enjoyable, even if you would have more years to be with your friends, family, etc. Although I could see why some people would pick the long hard life (more years with friends and family, you learn from hard work and hardships, etc).

I imagine most people would want a middle ground if they could: decent income (but not rich), some luxury, some hard work, die at 90. But it's interesting to see what people pick when forced to go to one extreme or the other. It forces people to say whether they value a long life or luxury more. I don't really think it shows laziness or stupidity to value one over the other.
