I frankly don't believe that people can be genetically wired to have attraction for the same gender from birth. I think it's all something to do with social interaction in early development or slightly later in life that leads to homosexuality, but I have no sources for that, nor assuming I did have sources could I say definitively that's how it works.

From what I can tell, they demand that they and their relationships be given equal treatment under the law. Of course "they" are a diverse group, and don't march lockstep, though you will tend to find reasonably strong majority opinions on certain specific issues.

And if gay pride in the face of historical oppression makes you want to puke, then go ahead and change the channel, or look the other way. Nobody's forcing you to pay attention.
