In November 65,910,437 people used the actual way - you know, the one set out in the constitution that this petition is just so concerned about Obama 'violating' - of choosing the President to make it clear that they wanted him to keep his job.

I'm not sure in what way anybody should pay any attention, whatsoever, to that petition. Or why, even if there was anything approaching a valid reason for paying these chucklefucks any attention at all, 100,000 signatures on a internet petition should outweigh 66m votes in an actual election.

Why do these people hate democracy?

I think that the impression was that one could think you were excusing others' faulty beliefs rather than correcting them, that's all.
It's quite apparent though that many posters don't know what the fuck they are talking about when it comes to the impeachment process, but it doesn't stop them from having very strong opinions about it in relation to Obama. It seems that no amount of trying to explain it will help though, so whatever.

I'm aware my response wasn't exactly relevant to what she asked. Still, I think most people believe that and I'm hoping that maybe just maybe one poster will actually try to correct me, be forced to read how the process is actually done, and feel all the more "enlightened" for what he/she has learned.

In any case, was it really that big of a deal? (Personally, I don't think so)

Well,
a) It's not, in any way, an answer to the question you replied to, and
b) Anyone who took 5 minutes to skim this thread would have known that many people are wrong.

Wrong or irrelevant. Your choice.

Which?

The guy said he would continue to post the petition until enough people agreed with him. I think he's going to be a while, and besides that, petitions on the white house websites are a joke. Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

That's only news in that someone was dumb enough to think a petition to the White House, of all places, would in any way improve the chances of the President being impeached.

"In recent news, an online petition received roughly one hundred thousand signatures encouraging the impeachment of President Barrack Obama. In a press conferrence earlier this morning, Barrack Obama responded to the petition with a stern 'no', followed by the statement '(are) you mad bro', before breaking out into a type of horse riding motion back into the White House."

Obviously they do.... since somehow they figure that 0.000318% of the population should get to dictate the terms of government to the rest of us. Though as of now they haven't reached that lofty goal, still being at merely a 0.00000292% representation.

If they didn't impeach that criminal Bush, why would they impeach Obama? Compared to him, Obama is virtually a saint. Granted, around 90% of modern politicians would probably count as a saint compared to Bush, so it's not a high a bar, but still my question stands
